INGREDIENTS:

2 cups mashed potato (might be
1 day old)
1 large eg
g
1/2 cup all-purpose white flour
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon mustard powder
2 ounces soft cheese, such as
Talegio, Brie, Muenster, or other
3 to 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
for frying, or as needed


DIRECTIONS:

Cut cheese into small thin strips.




Put mashed potatoes into large
bowl. Add egg.

Add flour.



















Add garlic powder.


















Add mustard powder.


















Mix with spoon to combine all
ingredients well.





































Heat oil in large skillet over
medium heat.


















Dip your hands into flour.


















Take heaped tablespoon of
potato mixture.

















Shape potato mixture into small
somewhat flat round "pancake".


















Place one cheese strip on one
half of "pancake".

















Cover with another half of
"pancake".

















Shape a patty with both hands.



















Put patties into hot skillet. Cook
over medium heat about 5
minutes or until golden on
bottom.















Flip patties with spatula. Cook
another 5 minutes or until
golden.


























Serve immediately.
A patty with a surprise! Yummy and
delicate!
