Crab Terrine
Tasty and fluffy, this dish is easier than appears.

INGREDIENTS:


1 can green peas, drained
1 small jar marinated roasted red pepper
10 ounces imitation crab meat sticks
1 cup heavy cream
6 large eggs
1 teaspoon salt

Pull pepper skin off and discard.

Cut each pepper piece in several stripes, horizontally.

Whipe heavy cream with electric mixer in large bowl until thick and holds soft peaks.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Separate egg yolks and whites into 2 different bowls.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


With electric mixer, beat whites until they hold soft peaks.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Wash mixer paddles, pat dry and whip egg yolks until creamy, just 1 minute.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Spoon 1/3 whipped egg whites into whipped cream.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Carefully fold in, working from bottom up. Then add remaining whites and fold in again.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Add egg yolks.

Carefully fold in with spoon, working from bottom up.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Add salt.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Add red peppers and green onions.

 

 

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

Add green peas.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Add cubed crab sticks.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Carefully mix to combine.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Grease bread pan with cooking spray. Pour mixtute in bread pan and smooth with back of spoon.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


You may bake it in greased shallow baking dish as well.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees F for 30-40 minutes, or until deep golden on top. Do not open oven door during baking!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Cool completely. Serve sliced and with some greens.
