Add chopped onion to meat and mix meat well again.
Take one heaped tablespoon of meat and with your hands wet, make a ball.
Spread piece of foil and place meat balls onto it. Dip large spoon (tablespoon works well) into cold water and gently press meatballs down to flatten them a bit.
Pour 6 to 8 tablespoons of oil into large skillet. Heat over medium heat for 30 seconds to 1 minute, or until oil is hot but not smoky. Add several meat patties. Do not overcrowd the skillet. Make sure that the patties don't touch each other.
Cook over medium heat for 5 to 6 minutes, or until the bottom browns nicely. Flip patties with spatula.
Cook on another side 5 to 6 minutes or until browned.
Serve warm.
