Basic Kitchen Equipment
Every kitchen should have a few basic pieces of equipment (although, based
on your needs, you may make some changes to this list).

  • Several pots and pans of different sizes

  • Baking sheet(s) and baking dish(es)

  • Wooden spoon(s) for mixing and stirring food while cooking

  • Rubber spatula (heat proof) for turning and mixing food during cooking

  • Measuring spoons and cups

  • Knives

  • Vegetable peeler

  • Grater

  • Cutting boards

  • Wire whisks (large and small)

  • Pastry brush

  • Colander for draining cooked food

  • Can opener

  • Pot Holders

  • Hand Blender


Another helpful kitche tools include:


  • Lemon zester

  • Lemon and orange juicer

  • Garlic press

  • Tongs

  • Steamer

  • Rolling pin

  • Ladle

  • Dutch oven

  • Cookie rack (for cooling food)

  • Pastry Decorating Set and Cookie Cutters



Electric equipment that is extremely helpful in kitchen:


  • Food processor

  • Strong blender

  • Standing or handheld mixer, or both
